Plans explained
Maddie's Lab has four plans. Every plan includes all 25 tools — plans differ only in how many documents you can process per month and how you're billed. There are no feature gates, no "pro-only" tools, and no per-seat fees.
The four plans
Free — $0. 10 documents per month, resetting on the 1st. No credit card required, no time limit. Built for trying everything out and for genuinely light use — a few receipts a month, the occasional PDF merge.
Pay as you go — $0.03 per document. No monthly fee, no quota, no commitment. You simply pay three cents for each file you process. This suits unpredictable workloads: quiet most months, then 200 receipts in April.
Pro — $9.99/month or $99/year. 500 documents per month. Annual billing works out to $8.25/month — two months free compared to monthly. This is the right plan if you process documents weekly: a freelancer doing bookkeeping, a landlord handling applications, an office manager digitizing paperwork.
Growth — $29.99/month or $299/year. 2,500 documents per month, again with two months free on annual. For teams and high-volume workflows: accountants at tax season, operations staff processing vendor invoices daily.
Which plan is actually cheapest for you
Do the math on your typical month. Under ~330 documents, pay as you go beats Pro monthly ($0.03 × 330 = $9.90). Over that, Pro monthly wins. Pro annual beats Pro monthly if you'll use it all year — the break-even is about 10 months. Growth makes sense past ~1,000 pay-as-you-go documents a month.
Good to know
- Annual billing = 2 months free on both Pro and Growth. You can switch between monthly and annual anytime; the change takes effect at your next renewal.
- Unused documents don't roll over on any plan. The counter resets to your full allowance on the 1st.
- Upgrading mid-month gives you the new quota immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the next billing cycle so you keep what you paid for.
- There are no setup fees, no per-user fees, and no charges for failed processing jobs.
- Prices are in USD. Taxes may apply depending on your location and will be shown at checkout before you pay.
